!00% adoption?? How is anyone to know? There is no accurate accounting of the dogs. No industry/adoption organized effort to keep track. As long as you have the glut of tracks in Fla. and 2 or 3 tracks closing a year elsewhere, I can't see it happening.

I think we can achieve 100% adoption and some tracks do. For example JAX/OP. They do have 100% adoption. There are a few others that do this as well. JMO

No kidding. You don't need to be a math teacher to know PR's 100% is not computed the same way anyone was taught to count in school.

It's 100% of 100%.

100% of what? all adoptable hounds? who determines what makes a dog adoptable? how do we know the criteria? is the criteria uniform across the entire "industry"? how is it enforced?

All you have to look at is the "back to the farm" category to know how the 100% is acheived.

I was just on GT reading a post about an adoption group in FL asking GT members to please consider adopting some of their dogs that have been in kennel care since Dec. of 2003. How do you see 100% adoption when there are sooo many dogs still in foster care, sitting in kennels for years, at the track ready for retirement and people in the industry still breeding them?! Please explain this to me, cause I just don't see it happening. Right now I have a beautiful little fawn baby that has been with me for 6 weeks still waiting for a home. I will foster her until that "right" home comes along. A lot of our dogs have been sitting on are Pet Finder page for months. Don't get me wrong I would love nothing better than to see 100% adoption. To see these beautiful babies waiting day after day...it's just so unfair and so sad. Is this their reward for trying their best and let's not forget the ones that will be PTS cause will ALL know that that's still happening. Look at some of these babies. forum.greytalk.com/index.php?showtopic=125992

I saw that thread on GT. It's heartbreaking to know these dogs have been waiting for so long. The other side of it is, I'm glad they are in a kennel waiting for adoption rather than "back at the farm".

So to the PR who are saying that 100% adoption will be achievable in the near future, please tell me how if there are dogs still waiting in kennels and that have been there for 3 YEARS (this is only one of many) how this will happen. PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME WILL YA? I'm waiting for some answers.

I really hope the waiting list becomes a reality one day, soon.
