Chevy has been limping intermittently for this past week. It seemed to come ago except for today. Today Chevy has been limping all day. I looked for obvious injuries but cannot find any. Usually Chevy is a big suck and whimpers at any little toe stub but he seems quite happy with tail on perma-wag - he just won't put any pressure his front right leg / foot. At the beginning of the week he was still using his foot with just a little bit of a limp but today he is holding it up. I will admit that I am super neurotic about my greys and tend to baby every injury they get. I probably go to the vet too much but I do not want to wait to long... Should I bring Chevy to the vet or wait awhile longer?

I would call the vet and tell them what is happening. See what they suggest on doing.

I will let you know how it went when I get back.

Just have to tell you, everytime Tom does something like that, I find another toe with a corn.. Good luck.

Should I bring Chevy to the vet or wait awhile longer? The vet was super busy and therefore wasn't really chatty but what I understood was that his spine was out of alignment in 2 spots as well as his shoulder. She manipulated and realigned his spine and all four legs. Chevy is big on drama so of course he screamed through his adjustments but when the vet adjusted the sore shoulder his scream echoed through the building and even though I know he is a drama king I teared up...She also gave him an anti-inflammatory injection. He is still limping and if it doesn't improve any over the weekend I am to go back on Monday. I really hope he is feeling better in the morning. This vet is very well respected in the local greyhound community so I am sure everything will be fine. I have spent the whole evening cuddling with him...when my babies hurt, I hurt.

Chevy seems to limping even more this morning but maybe I am just paranoid...The vet does not think his physical activities need to be restricted but before I left for work this morning I told DH not to walk the Chevster. I am sure he is just sore for the adjustments - right? Let me tell ya, he had no problems hop/running to the food dish this am! :o ...I'll keep ya posted...
