Chevy seems to limping even more this morning but maybe I am just paranoid...The vet does not think his physical activities need to be restricted but before I left for work this morning I told DH not to walk the Chevster. I am sure he is just sore for the adjustments - right? Let me tell ya, he had no problems hop/running to the food dish this am! :o ...I'll keep ya posted... all we have to do is take your hounds and mine running together. i guarantee chevy will come back to life ;D

How is the boy this morning? Hope he's feeling better. No...today is the worst he has been yet! I am trying to remain calm but he is not jumping up to go outside anymore and he is not using that leg at all, at all, at all. He is still really happy, very alert and is eating very well. The vet said he may have to come back but I thought he would only get a little better and not much worse...I will be calling the vet tomorrow am so he can go back but this time I think I might just drop him off b/c even though I know he is mostly full of drama I just don't wanna hear him screaming again - is that too selfish? I am also hoping she will send Chev-Chev home will something to help ease his discomfort. I usually try natural remedies but I do not know of any natural pain suppressants for the doggies - anyone have any suggestions?

michelle is really good about pain surpressants. she has compounds made up at the "natural" pharmacy next door to her practice. she also has a sense of humour about doggie drama. she laughed her butt off at loca; she laid on the floor and her heart was beatign so hard that her entire body shook in time to her heartbeat LOL.

Oh, no. No you are not being selfish. I hope your vet can help Chevy, does your vet tell you what the problem is? I'm sorryif I missed the Dx. in another message. I can only image how you are feeling and going though, I'm so sorry. Sending prays and good thoughts to you and your family, and of course Chevy.

Well Sunday and Monday Chevy stopped using his "bad" leg all together so we headed out to the vet Monday afternoon. The vet explained that Chevy has a dropped shoulder that needed to be readjusted again since the last adjustment did not resolve the situation. He also needed his pelvis realigned because as he is compensating for his shoulder he is twisting his pelvis. Being a bad mom I left the room when the vet re-adjusted his shoulder...I could hear him screaming while I was outside pacing the parking lot!! #4_2_6# I know most if not all is his dramatic skills being displayed but I can't handle it when my babies are yelping and cryin'. So now he is not allowed to do the stairs for 5 days and can only go on short, slow walks. He is taking Deramaxx (osteoarthritic med) for the next 10 days. So far the meds do not seem to be bringing him any relief but I am hoping things will be better for him later today. #12_3_46#
