Last Thanksgiving I bought my 2 boys a Leopard Gecko who we named "Ike." (It turned out Ike was an Irene) So, for Valentine's Day I had a friend turn Ike's Terrarium into a Vivarium and I am giving the boys another Leopard Gecko, who is blind, named Joe. Joe was born blind and the man who owns him can no longer care for him, since he has to be hand fed daily, so I agreed to take Joe in. I took Ike to this guys house, my kids think Ike is at the Vet with a cold, just to make sure she and Joe would get along well together 8-) and low and behold they are fine. So, when my boys get home tomorrow Ike will be home, in her new "house" along with her new buddy Joe. :-*
What do you all think, is this a good V day gift for my kids, or is it corny and weird? ::)

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Yea, Joe was a "HUGE" hit with my boys. They loved on him for over 40 minutes until I finally decided that the poor Gecko probably needed a break. They understand that because he is blind they will have to hand feed him worms and they are all ready trying to work out a schedule so that they can take turns.
My 10 year old looked at me after he saw Joe and said "Mom, you rock!" :) I figure it does not get any better than that.
I will let you all know if Ike lays eggs and Joe fertilizes them, I may need a list of potential adoptive parents. :o

Joe and Ike are getting along just "greyt." I am having more fun with them than anyone, next to Dolly and Katie. The "girls" watch the Geckos very carefully, ears straight up and eyes very intent. I know we need to be careful or the Geckos will end up becoming a "wafer thin mint." :P I have all ready fed Joe, by hand, 3 worms and although it took some time, he ate them and seemed to become comfortable with me feeding him. Joe, if you recall, is blind, therefore I have to feed him by hand or he will die since he cannot find the crickets in the vivarium to eat.
