Animal lovers from Hungary have asked for help to get a dog farm closed. Now, before I post the link to the pictures, a warning, they are very disturbing. You can also opt to go directly to the petition in which you will find a letter explaining the situation. From experience in the recent past we found out petitions like this can help, they did in a Belgian case and in France. This is the link to the site: www.dogheart.hu/dogmengele.htmAnd here the link to the petition: www.petitiononline.com/soprone/petition.htmlThanks, Petra Update: March 3rd, 2006 Official announcement Police lieutenant-Colonel Dr. Reinhoffer Csaba, the head of the crime department of the Sopron police station authorized me to report the following: Andras Örsi was reported at the police with animal maltreatment by a civil (Márta Harcsás) on February 20th, 2006. Based on the investigation so far and the experts’ opinion Andras Örsi is handled as a suspect by the Sopron police station in a penal case. The police takes the measures needed for the security of the animals in an accelerated process at once. The yard owner is cited to court in an accelerated process as well.

Help getting this closed? Are you telling me this is acceptable in Hungary? Unbelievable, it is a puppy mill?

Thanks, yes this is a puppymill. All I know is that it is all over the news in Hungary and that they tried to get it closed down for 4 years now. For a few years now, countries like Hungary and Romenia found a fast way to earn money by setting up puppymills. They sell the pups all over Europe, during the transports a lot of them die or are too ill to survive. Recently a transport going to Spain, was stopped in France, about 300 puppies were found than and the driver said it was his second transport that year.
But I do think that even for a puppymill, this is an extreme situation (or I am hoping) In the pictures you can see a few breeds that are Hungarian breeds, like the Magyar Agar, the Hungarian sighthound. Dogs that are hard to find. Imaging how much money they make...

Those poor animals!! I signed. I hope that this helps. I do agree with the other comments, especially the ones about the "owners" being put out in the snow with no shelter, food, or water.
