Because of a visit to Belgium, I spent a few days at the home of our chairwoman which is always fun. Every time I am there I have to take the camera. There are always new dogs around because every time there is a dog in need, she will take it in. Several end up spending the rest of their lives there. Here are a few of my favorites. Ravi, the blind galgo The picture isn't really sharp because I had to take it from a distance, he is very shy when there are strangers in the house My favorite is Koos, he arrived with a damaged back leg and tail which they had to amputate. He is my big friend #heartbeat# Miep, also a hunting dog that came from Scooby Marie, she is there to protect the house and doing a great job. Her breed is hard to adopt out overhere because they are so big, but they are very sweet dogs. Latest addition is Kika, she came from a kill shelter in Spain and her backside is deformed. Next week the vet will do x-rays to find out what is wrong and if something can be done.
