Since his second place finish in the NOS XVII race Kay V Tatoo Tony (Flying Penske-Mohican Val) has been on a tear on the Jacksonville Racing Circuit. He has won 7 races in a row over two racetracks and so far at the Jacksonville Kennel Club, he is a perfect 4 for 4. In his last 14 starts he has won 12 times and sits among the national leaders with 25 wins in his 37 starts on the year.
Dominating is nothing new to this superstar as he was the win leader for the 2005-2006 Orange Park meet with 34 victories in his 56 starts. What might be even more impressive is his quiniela numbers. He finished in the top 2 positions in 45 of 56 races and managed to make in into the superfecta 49 times.
Tony who doesn't turn 3 until January has a career totals of 65—40-13-2-3 and has only missed the paysheet in 7 career starts. He has made 4 stakes finals (NOS XVI, 2005 JGR Juvenile, NOS XVII and the 2006 Clay County Classic) as he finished third in NOS XVI and second in NOS XVII. In full round stakes races he has run into trouble in the finals and finished out of the money.
Redemption is just around the corner for this early speed monster as the $50,000 First Coast Classic kicks off on July 21st at the Jacksonville Kennel Club. By Kelly J Clark
You have to watch Tony race. This dog is awesome.
