The 2005 National Win Champion, Ozzie The Man, was named captain of the AGTOA's All-America Team. Joining Ozzie were Boone's Fishnkid, WTD Country Gold, Joe Hearns, Kiowa Molly Bell, Its Dust Em, Nimby TP Jan and Igoby Brady.
The team was announced at the AGTOA Convention in Las Vegas today (March 28).
Ozzie The Man (Stan's Boy Flyer-Go Go Cleo) also won the NGA's Rural Rube Award. Ozzie finished 2005 with 51 wins in 62 starts at Palm Beach, the most wins in the nation. He also won the Palm Beach Puppy Stake, two Night of Stars features and the Father's Day Feature at Palm Beach.
Ozzie The Man is owned by Anthony Morris and raced at Palm Beach by the Cahill & O'Connor Kennel.
WTD Country Gold (Gable Chevy-ML Taffy Crunch) went to Bluffs Run and won the richest race of 2005, the $400,000 Bluffs Run Open. He also was the wagering favorite in the Palm Beach Derby. Country Gold is owned and raced by William Davidson.
Boone's Fishnkid (Mulberry Memory-Boone's Candibar) won top grade races at five different racetracks. Owned by Wayne Strong and raced by a number of different kennels, Fishnkid ran second in the Hollywood World Classic (Carroll Kennel) then came back the next week and won the Joe Ryan Feature, made up of mostly World Classic finalists. He also won races at Wheeling Island, Bluffs Run, Dubuque and Southland.
Joe Hearns (Craigie Whistler-Touche Baby) was the Tampa win leader in 2005. He also won 11 straight races at Tampa/Derby Lane, one of which was the Derby Lane Inaugural. He also ran third in the Tampa Speed Classic and was a finalist in the Derby Lane Juvenile. Joe Hearns is owned by Randy Floyd and races for the Floyd & Porter Kennel.
Its Dust Em (TNT Star Wars-Its Star Dust) won the St. Petersburg Derby and ran second in the Distance Classic at Derby Lane. She also ran third in the Kansas Cup at The Woodlands and was a finalist in the Flagler Derby. Its Dust Em is owned by Julia Ward and raced out of the Wayne Ward Kennel.
Kiowa Molly Bell (Kiowa Bet Dutch-Kiowa Big Molly) won two major distance races last year: The Hollywoodian at Hollywood and the Flagler Derby. Kiowa Molly Bell is owned by James O'Donnell and Bryan Dalton and raced out of the J.E. O'Donnell Kennel.
Nimby TP Jan (Flying Penske-JD Tripod) won the track championship at Wheeling Island winning 27 races in 48 starts over the 3/8-mile course. She also won both of Wheeling Island's Night of Stars Features. The NGA's Flashy Sir Award winner is owned by Weber Kennel and raced for the Douglas Kennel.
Igoby Brady (Kiowa Sweet Trey-Go Sharon Go) was well traveled in 2005. He ran third in the Hollywood World Classic and made the finals of the $400,000 Bluffs Run Open. He finished the year winning the Dubuque King and Queen Stake. Igoby Brady is owned by Greg Geter and Delphine Geter and raced for the River Bluffs Kennel.

Atascocita Smoke (Greys Flamebeau-Rewind Sammy) won the Woodlands Great American Greyhound Futurity and raced at Raynham-Taunton. Smoke is owned by Atascocita Racing and Randall Ward and raced for the Crystal Eagle Kennel.
Lewis And Wax (Greys Statesman-Hear What I Say) set the Wheeling Island track record running 29.37 and was a finalist in the Bluffs Run Open. He is owned by Plum Creek Kennel and Karen Legg and raced by the Arivada-Plum Creek Kennel.
I'm Already Gone (Flying Penske-Eltex Bee There) won the Bluffs Run Spring Futurity and ran second in the Bluffs Run Open. She is owned by James Watson and raced for the Neal Blake Kennel.
Inspecda Deck (Flying Penske-Bellarose) won the $60,000 American Derby and qualified for the Raynham-Taunton Derby winning all of the qualifying rounds. He is owned by Robert Berthelot and Andrew Sarras and was raced by the Andrew Sarras Kennel.
Kelsos Battlecry (Kelsos Kingpin-Kelsos Incognito) won the Clay County Classic at Orange Park. Battlecry is owned and raced by John Kelly.
Boc's Big League (WW Time Warp-Dreamland) won the $400,000 Iowa Breeders Classic. He is owned by Brad Boeckenstedt and John Roeder and raced for the Bob Rider Kennel.
Goodbye Lambert (Seegold Big Red-Sly Susie) was unbeatable at Melbourne Greyhound Park. He finished with 50 wins on the year, just a single win away from U.S. Win Champion and All-America Team Captain Ozzie The Man. He also won the Melbourne Sprint Classic and set the track record twice: 30.29, 30.22. He is owned by Gary L. Scott and raced for the By A Nose Kennel.
Instant Vintage (Jimbo Scotty-A Little Evil) won the Flagler Hecht Marathon racing through the qualifying rounds with a loss. She also won 31 races at Flagler/Hollywood. Instant Vintage is owned by Tina Williams and raced for the D. Q. Williams Kennel
