It's been tough....being involved in feral cat rescue is where I acquired some and some strays. You all know how it goes. I always tell my family and friends if I ever hit the lottery I would buy property out in So. Jersey and build a big, beautiful Haven House for the abandoned, lost and abused pets. I'd hire a staff so that someone would be there 24/7. I'd also have an on-site vet....gee wouldn't that be great? Sigh....some day.

Sorry to hear of your loss. We have a couple getting up there in age, Charlie is 15 our oldest cat. That sounds awesome about your idea for a Haven House for stray animals. We are looking for a kennel for sale with land and a house on the property. Also, we would have a doogie daycare and a Cat House with Condos for them. We would also have some kennel runs for local greyhound adoption groups where we would take care of them til they find a forever home. Some day for us too... Its been a struggle finding any for sale.

In my home town Dh and I were involved with feral cat rescue as well. I tried to volunteer at the Humane Society as well but that insisted that all volunteers rotated through "Friday D day" which I just was not interested in...I may be able to put down suffering animals but never healthy ones whose luck just ran out! :-[
