Hello All, I just joined this group a couple of days ago. My name, though, is probably familiar. I'm Candy. I am President of GPA-New Mexico Greyhound Connection. My husband Jerry and I have been involved in Greyhound Adoption since adopting our first Greyhound, Merlin in 1997. We volunteered for our original adoption group, then took over adoptions for them and finally in 2003 began our own group. We have been affilitated with Greyhound Pets of America since that time.

We have 7 Greyhounds of our own. Penny (Flying Alabama) 5, Willow (Hallo Vista) 5, Butter (Wicked Winner 10), Sir Gwain 4, Megabyte (Itsa Megabite) 6, Sammy (a rescued coyote runner) approximately 2 years old and Eli (Just Like A Rock) the 4 year old son of Butter. We are also currently fostering Valley Festus a 4 year old from the Juarez track.

Some of you all may know me from other boards. I do want to make it clear that unless I am posting about a group event or a foster dog that I am speaking "only for myself". I look forward to meeting you all "online".
