Okay, I see it now, with the link going to it. I used to do more pencil and charcoal. That's mostly what I did, until a couple of years ago, then I wanted to try painting. Here's a recently finished Greyhound commission... DAKOTA ::)

Thank you! I especially enjoy doing the eyes, and actually they are usually what I do first, and they're the easiest part, for me....I have always loved doing eyes...I used to doodle eyes on everything, when I was a kid. All over my textbooks etc, in school. And I've always liked drawing people's faces (I just started doing animals a year ago), and always loved doing the eyes. They're the center of everything, to me.

Thank you, I seem to paint a LOT of GHs...I started painting dogs on the request of a friend of mine who owns a GH and makes collars on the side (he's a hairstylist, and I used to work with him). I just sort of fell into it, I guess. They do have wonderful eyes, the sight hounds. Here's a GH I finished a couple of days ago....It's a big file so I'll just post a link to the page for it on my site, instead of putting the image directly into the post... ARGUS

I do paint the entire dog, upon request, but left to my own devices I prefer doing closeups, that's what I enjoy, concentrating on the faces and eyes. I do paint cats, birds, other breeds of dogs, etc, but the sighthounds all seem to have something "behind the eyes" that I find especially captivating. #heartbeat# Here's a full-body one, it's a 12" x 16": RAVEN
