Hi, I'm Billie Mann, a member here referred me, saying she thought I'd like it here. 
I'm an artist, and I paint a lot of animals, especially Greyhounds, and also Iggies and Whippets. I paint other animals too, right now I'm also working on a Parrot, I just seem to do a lot of these particular dog breeds, I love the look of them. Feel free to check out my website at

My husband and I do not have any Greys ourselves, we have 2 Min Pins, a Min Pin mix, 4 cats and 2 fish tanks. I am a vendor but I also like to participate in general discussions, I usually find that I have a lot in common with other pet owners on sites, even if I don't have that breed, and I enjoy looking at the photos people post.
I only "discovered" Greyhounds in January of 2005 when a friend of mine, who makes speciality collars for Greyhounds and other breeds, asked me if I could paint animals, I said I didn't know, I could try, and he asked me to try Greyhounds, so he could hang them at his booth for his collars. Well, then it kind of took off! I just recently quit my part-time non-art job to stay home and paint from home full time, working for myself. This is my second week of running my own business, from home.

This looks like a nice, open site for talking about lots of stuff. Although I am a vendor, I do enjoy participating in discussions of all kinds with members, and being a part of the community, not just a vendor.
I'm friendly, outgoing, and I have a strong and often extremely silly sense of humor (think Monty Python humor). I'm looking forward to hanging out here with everyone.
