An ex co-worker of mine, John Read (hairstylist) started making whimsical collars for dogs a couple of years ago, a few jester collars here and there, but then it just started taking off! He makes them himself, he puts a lot of care into them, and the selection of his fabrics are really gorgeous. Anyway here's a link to his site, it's

Check out his fabric selections! They are amazing! He works full-time still doing hair, and the rest of his time making these collars. He has told me that he's gotten an idea and gotten up in the middle of the night to sew!

John had no idea I was going to "plug" his site (I also posted about his collars at the other animal forums I visit). I just e-mailed him this morning, after the fact, to tell him. He's got so little free time on his hands, between the collars and his full-time job doing hair!

John's the one who got me into painting Greyhounds in the first place. #heartbeat# And yeah he's just a big sweetheart!
