in WA. Need help from Idaho/ Washington people.
The following post was just listed on Greytalk. Hoping that someone can help!! Please pray for Egor. Here is the post from GT:
This was sent to me via our local volunteer list. I am two hours away from the area so I can only pass along the information. I am hoping that there are people closer who can help these poor people. The accident occured on Monday. We are having record lows here right now. It is SO COLD!
Here is the email:
There has been an unfortunate accident with someone traveling from Montana to the Spokane, WA area with their 3 greyhounds. They were in an accident about 20 miles eaast of Sandpoint. One of their greyhounds went through the window of the car and is running loose. The owners are absolutely distraught.
The greyhound is a brindle male, 5 years old, about 70-75 pounds. He is apparently a very nervous/timid dog. His name is Egor. He had his tags on, but no coat and it is very cold outside.
If you can help look for this boy, please contact his owner, Sara Juve - 406 249 9844.
Also, if anyone finds this boy could you let me know. Everyone is so worried about him.
Thank you.

This is exactly why my dogs are crated on road trips. First of all, I really hope they will find him, poor boy. But for you remark CW, I have once discussed this with a vet. I asked him how to transport our dogs, he said , please, not to crate them in a wire crate. He had had a few victims of wire crates and referred to them as frech fried dogs. His choice was the harness that you can attach to the safetybelt.

Harnesses are not feasible when you have 5+ dogs in a truck, nor are they kind if driving for 2-3 days and 10+ hours a day.
French fried? Did the car start on fire?
I have heard people fear a COLLAPSIBLE wire crate could injure a dog, but not the airline crate.

Extra prayers are needed. A super cold front has moved into our area. On the western side of the Cascades it's only 30 today. On the eastern side it's much colder.
Please, baby, go to someone.

Sorry for the lack of response (I have trouble following the flow of these forums).
Egor was found safe, although minus 30 pounds.
