Our Milky....
I got home today from the doggie daycare and I let our guys out. They were just out in our yard when I noticed them all up at the tree fence line. I then went up there and told them to come on, let's go in, when Milky turned around and had a baby bird in her mouth. I let all the others in and told Milky to drop it. She was going to go in the house with the bird... When they were all in.. I moved the bird to another area. It was still alive but I knew it was only a matter of time before it was dead.
Urgg...
I didn't yell at her becuase I know it's their instinct. I told Trish that she will have to brush Milky's teeth later.

How sad. It is amazing to see how Greyhounds react in a pack, sadly it is usually at the expense of a small furry (0r one with feathers in your case) animal.
My 4 has hunted and caught a stay cat, some how he got in the fenced in area, squirrels, chipmunks, 1 dove, 1 blue jay and a mole.
Like you I didn't yell at them, it would confuse them.

Yes, I've had "love" deposits in our bedroom of a dove and a baby rabbit, both expired. That's what these guys were bred for originally. ::)
