Part of my new year's resolution is to try to keep the house a little bit cleaner and more kept. Yesterday I worked my butt off for 8 hrs scrubbing the main floor. I cleaned EVERYTHING, the slip-covers, the drapes, all the dog beds, carpets, floors etc. At midnight the main floor was spotless. At 6:15 this morning there was pee, poop, and regurgitated food all over the main floor! :'( #hissyfit# #10_1_11# #moan# :'( WHY, WHY, WHY??? They are house trained, we have very few accidents here and I know who the pee culprit is and his "accidents" are behavioral - i.e. no bedtime love = pee in the am. There has only ever been one other poop in the house but it was the "big D" so ya can't blame a pupper for being sick. They went for last potty break of the night at 11:00, they all got their goodnight treats and love. All seemed well at midnight last night... Are they upset that the house is too clean? #4_6_2v# #wtf#

I can appreciate where your coming from....I tend to be somewhat anal and with 2 greys and 5 cats I'm constantly cleaning. Nothing worse than coming home to cat vomit or better yet stepping in it! Ugh....I never thought owning dogs would be easier than having cats. Between the hair balls, my clawed furniture and cat hair, not to mention changing cat boxes it's exhausting.

I also have cats (3 greys, 5 cats) and I recently changed their food to one that claims to help with hairballs...well now they seem to be puking much, much more! I do not know which is worst - stepping in could puke or stepping in puke that is still warm... #36_1_25#

I know how you feel. I am always cleaning. With all our cats and our dogs, there is always hair to sweep, dog mud tracks esp with all the rain lateley. We have a few cats that mark for some reason and a cat that likes to pee everywhere. I always am spraying the floors and having my mop around.

That's how it is with our cats. I clean all the litter pans and a sec later they are back in them using them. I say, Come on, can't you wait to use again. I think they like the newness of the litter.

Anyone have a dog who help keep the yard and/or kitty box clean of "debris"? Sweetie appears to be the first I've ever had who "helps" out in the yard ???

I'm lucky with only one cat, oh, I mean one king who allows me to live in "his" house, he not too messy. After I clean the litter box he will go back in it kick out the fresh litter back on the floor and he stares at me as to say ha, ha, what are you going to do, that naughty cat, and he bangs on the doors to enter my living and dining rooms. Now, as for my neighbors, they let their dogs do their business and they don't pick it up, the poop just layes on the end of the lawn, I mean, when you walk your dog, you need to clean up after it, there nothing worst then tracking in poop in your front door from the bottom of your shoe and man, does it smell!!!

I am a neat freak. We have cats too, and a few dogs. I just do my best. I clean every day, though! It's my "job" lol

I am by nature a neat person. I married someone who is not, but I've known him 20 years (as friends mostly) so I knew what I was getting into. Hah ha. And we have 3 dogs and 4 (indoor-only) cats. I had to relax my standards of neatness a LOT when we got married and bought this big (older, dusty) house. Otherwise I'd spend every free moment cleaning and/or nagging him. Anyway, I wrote a blog about cat puke etc awhile back, here's a link to it....feel free to look around my blog but be forewarned that there is a fair amount of salty language in it: CAT PUKE, AND CARPET COLOR CHOICES
