tomorrow it is Elmo's turn to loose part of his anatomy.
I know it is just a 15 minutes procedure, but he still has to go under (though we had several offers from people who thought they were funny)
In our experience it is harder for the scared dogs they can panic when recovering and Elmo sure is at risk for that.
So a few more fingers crossed would give me a little more peace of mind.

The little guy is home again and all went well. They didn't wake him really up before I returned so I could keep an eye on him and make sure he didn't panic. All and all it didn't take longer than an hour.
Now we face the challenge of keeping him away from licking the wound.

Great to hear! Stay quiet Elmo, until those stiches come out. Is that a joke? Keeping that boy quiet is like teaching a toad to fly. He is great though about leaving the wound. Until now no need for collars and stuff as long as we can keep an eye on him. And there is just one little knot showing that will need to come out after 10 days. Would he still be here than I could do that myself.
