My Heidi girl is not feeling well. She hasn't been eating very regular for a couple of months and she just isn't herself. I took her to the vet this morning with samples in hand. They also drew blood. She has lost 10 pounds and they found hook worms in her poop, no suprise there. The vet put her on antibiotics and de worm meds. She should get her blood result back later tonight or tomorrow. I just pray everything is  or can be treated. I couldn't stand to lose another greyhound at the age of 7. Here's my angel.  |

Vet called this morning. Heidi's blood work came back , nothing unusual in it at all. WHEW!! But, her urine didn't. Vet said it was very diluted, she has been drinking alot of water, and there was some blood in it. No bacteria. We are going to continue with antibiotics and deworm. She will have another pee test in ten days and another round of deworm in three weeks. We are trying to feed her more often in the day between 3 and 4 times. Hopefully she will gain some weight. That's the plan of action. I hope she will be . |

Nothing worse than a sick puppers when they look at you as if they think you can fix it and make them feel better.

Well, she has been on antibiotics for a few days. She still isn't liking kibble. She has been eating pasta with some canned food. I've been trying to feed her 3 times a day to see if I can get some weight back on her.
The true test will come at her next vet trip in about a week.
