Since the weather will be starting to get hotter. What do you do for your greyhounds? Do you still walk them?Let them run in your fenced backyard or at the dog park?

Mine like to stay in the house with the AC on. Plus Rusty hates it when flies and bees buzz around him!

So far the hot weather doesn' t seem to brother her, when she hears the door open she is ready for her walk. This a.m. she was dragging a little, it was staring to heat up outside. She does like the cool fan running behind her crate. Now Toby my cat has a hard time in the hot weather and perfers downstairs were it is 10 degrees cooler, lying on the chair catching the raise from the sun.

I walk early in the morning. If they are in the yard, I have a baby pool. Heidi loves to lay in water. When she is done walking around a field we take them to, she heads straight for the river and lays in it!!

Mostly inside time, and running or walking in the evening. Greys are a lot hardier than they are given credit for, but they should do complain if they are outside for more than a bathroom break!!

Our puppy, Lincoln doesn't seem to care to much about the heat. He is too busy being a puppy :o Zeus will sun bath and roach, Suzy really doesn't like the heat. When she goes out, she does her business and wants back in on her couch. Milky, she just goes in our kiddie pool.
When the sun is going down in the evening and it cools off some, that's when they all seem to want to run in our fenced backyard.

We walk later in the evening. The hounds have a pool in the yard, but seem to spend much more time in front of the AC or outside late in the evenings.

Mine stay in most of the day. They will go out and run late in the afternoon and then some of them will get in the kiddie pools I have set up outside.

I take ours out in the early morning and late in the evening for walks, other then that they stay in the air conditioned.
Since I work from my home, I can be with them all the time just in case they want to go out during the heat of the day. I also have water out for them to drink throughout the day.
