GREYHOUND LIFESAVERS need donations for their Spring Auction for the Greyhounds on Saturday, May 20 at Armory Auction, 1101 Augusta St., West Columbia. Hot items include sets of dishes, pottery, vases, paintings, silver, furniture, electronics, fishing equipment, quilts, kitchen gadgets, small appliances, old toys, tools, stamps, coins and books (no clothing or used screens or screen doors). Donations will be accepted noon-6 p.m., Wednesdays-Saturdays through May 13; call (803) 794-0107 or (803) 600-4200 before you make the trip. Preview begins at 8 a.m., and the auction starts at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be served, and adoptable greyhounds will be at the event.
