Hi Everybody, thought I would introduce myself. I just joined not too long ago. Me and my husband currently have 5 greys and 1 whippet. We have been volunteers for a greyhound rescue group out here in the big state of Idaho for over 10yrs. My husband is currently serving in Afghanistan with his nat'l guard unit. He will be home Feb. of next year. On to the dogs, our oldest is our whippet Magic who is 11, next in line is Charmin and Nicky both 9yrs, both are littermates from a breeder in northern Idaho who was using them as coyote hunters, then there is Padishar(ex-racer) who is 5, then Sophie(a coyote hunter) who is 6, then the newest addition Hogan( another coyote hunter castoff) who is barely a yr old. Over the span of 10yrs, we have adopted 15 greys. The last of our original 9 ex-racers passed to the bridge 12-26-05. This is one breed of dog that truely is addictive. Although we have lost our greys, I am so thankful that they got to be in their forever home until their time here on earth was up. Again, glad to be aboard, will be talking to you all at some point in time!

Welcome to EG. I live in Bigfork, MT during the summer so I'm sort of your neighbor at the moment.

Welcome aboard! I just adopted my greyhound, Misty, three weeks ago. So far so go, esp. with my cat, who is still a little afraid of her but, is able to sit on the sofa watching her, when she tries to stiff his butt, Toby lets out a growl with little hisses. Hopefully with time they will be best buds.

Hello and welcome! Do you have any pics of your dogs? They sound lovley. And I think it's safe to say we all suffer from Greyhound addiction on here!
