Just saw the link to here on another board. Thought I'd come take a look around, and decided to sign up. #36_1_39#
My name is Zophia. My daughter, Arielle, and I happily share our house with hounds Frankie (red) and Dandy (white and red), a geriatric beagle x named Lady, and three kitties, Juji (caramel tabby), Li Shen (cow-print kitty), and Zihna (white kitty in brown swirly tabby pajamas), and a fish tank and an aquarium. What's the difference, you ask? The fish tank is gaudy, complete with tacky bubbler treasure chest and skeleton and shipwreck deco and plastic plants, and has a few huge 3 yr old comet goldfish and two Chinese Weather Loaches. And the aquarium is predominantly Amazon, planted and is home to three cory cats between 2 and 5 years old, a spawning pair of 4 year old marbled Angels, three 5 year old Clown Loaches, four two year old black tetras, and two one year old glass cats.
I got Frankie, my first grey, on Jan 6 this year, after dreaming of adopting a grey for some twenty + years. Frankie is my quiet guy. Almost always debonair and reserved in everything from showing affection to playing. Frankie was such a wonderful guy, it wasn't hard to convince the housemate to let me get a second, Dandy, just two months later. Of course, Dandy's shining personality came through well when we met him, and that certainly didn't hurt in getting him to agree. ;) Dandy is everything that Frankie isn't. Outgoing, playful, goofy, demonstrative in his affections, and a total roaching fool. Their opposite personalities play so well against each other and each brings out the best in the other.
We're waiting on number 3, hopefully a little girl who was born on my 30th birthday (the day by which the housemate [formerly my SO, but we're just live-in friends now] had originally promised he'd get my a hound ;) ). She started racing in June at Tristate and in eleven attempts has yet to break her maiden. I'm enjoying watching her run, though.
My hounds are my inspiration, and my reason for getting up in the morning. And I'm blessed to have been chosen by these two to be their mom.
It should be interesting and I look forward to watching this board grow. :)
