The Greyhound March for Racing is set for Saturday, October 20 in Tampa ! It will begin in the morning, in the 9:00 - 10:00 am time frame, for the benefit of the Greyhounds in attendance.
The date and location of the March was set via conversation among Jennifer Ng and myself on behalf of GAR, Jennifer Newcome on behalf of CSG and Kurt Trzeciak and LaDonna Hampton on behalf of the Florida racing community. October 20 was the only date in the second half of October that did not conflict with a national Greyhound event. (The NGA National Meeting is the weekend of Oct. 13 - 14, and the North American Greyhound Adoption Conference is the weekend of Oct. 27 - 28). Tampa was chosen because it appears to have the most number of local people who are willing to do the local legwork that must be done to organize the March.
