Hi,
We have had our greyhound for only 2 weeks and he is now beginning to settle in to our house which is nice to see. I am worried that because he has never lived without other dogs before he is under stimulated and bored. Quite often he'll just see restless and start scratching at the carpet. Can anyone suggest things we can do with him to keep him happy? Its just not practical to play with him the whole time!
Thanks very much!

on your new grey. I would suggest get some fun dog toys and a kong. You can fill the kong with treats, peanut butter, you can also freeze the kong with other special treats in it. Also, maybe a few good quality walks a day if you can.

Thanks all,
Tried the kong thing, he doesn't seem to be a peanut butter fan but will keep working on it. As for walks, he gets 3 decent length (45 min plus bare minimum each) day. I think he might just be a particularly active grey!

You can always put dog treats in the kong. How old is your grey. When we had our 2 puppy greyhounds, we had to keep them occupied with their toys and constant play. It was fun times.
