Its that time again bikini shopping, have fun and follow these steps, it should be a fun event!! Bikini Shopping 101:
1: Follow your instincts. No bathing suit will look better on you than the one you really love.
2: Always think about the "end use" for your suit. Is it for the beach, the pool, surfing? You don't want to wear a heavily accessorized bikini to the beach, or the tiniest bikini at a resort.
3: Have fun mixing and matching. Create your own look by shopping at diffferent stores.
4: Condsider colors that will compliment your skin tone.
5: Wear your favorite summer shirt on bikini shopping day. You will much happier to have a suit that matches what you already own and like.
6: Don't underestimate the power of solids. Make sure you buy at least two soild color bikinis. A good choice is a black or orange-these always make an impact.
7: Dress for your body type. And remember, lycra can be very forgiving.
8: Don't shop alone. Bring someone along on your bikini spree. It also helps to have a second opinion.
9: If you already own stripes, go for polka dots, go for plaid. These are classic prints that will never go out of style.
10: But most of all have a blast, remember, lots of protein, water, easy on the fruits, and drink alots and alots of water!! ;D

GAH! Lol! Bikini shopping sucks!
:(
I don't "bikini shop" any more, well not this year....I used to buy a new suit every summer, sometimes two, Patricia, when I was bodybuilding, and still living at an apartment that had a pool...we're in a house and don't have a pool we can regularly visit, we go out to a local lake sometime....BUT!
Patricia, I still have my favorite suit, it's a two-piece, not really a bikini though. I have a photo of me in it somewhere, I will scan it and post it later on today when I get a chance, it's not a cheesecake shot, but it shows the suit. It's a mostly cotton one, athletic cut....it's a Calvin Klein. I remember when I bought it over ten years ago, I tried it on, and thought, "MAN! This fits really well, is comfortable, will stay on well in the ocean etc, and looks good. But it is EXPENSIVE!"
I bought it anyway and I never regretted it, I love that suit and yes it's not worn out yet! I have a whole drawer full of sexy suits from places like "Ujena" catalog, but rarely wear them anymore.
Anyway, I DID buy one new bikini last year, frm Boston Proper catalog, it's a ncie one....but I always find myself pulling that Calvin Klein one out, when Rob and I go to the beach or lake. The sexy ones are great to sun tan in but....maybe it's my age!
:o :o :o :o
I don't look bad for my age (47) but still.....lol! You know?
