Huskeys are generaly good with other animals if socialised (if not some can be dog agressive), they also need socialising with people (I have witnessed first hand the savage effects that could occur if not). If bought up properly they are very lovley, loyal, playfull companions...though do need alot of exercise (as they were bred of endurence). Huskeys properly socialised do make wonderfull pets and are usually very good with children

He loves to be outside, as long as we're out there with him! Otherwise, he'd rather be laying at my feet while I type at the computer! I read an article about 2 huskies mauling a young child... I know they have it in them, although any breed does, I suppose. But just as an FYI: we adopted him as an adult dog through our local pound and he is nothing but wonderful! We may have lucked out with him, or perhaps it's a rescue thing, but he is just a big mush! He gets along great with our cats, we took the intro-ing very slowly but they're fine. He is not the best at obedience... he is quite smart but bores very easily and doesn't do well with repetition. We have him in basic obedience class now and after the first couple times he does his "sit" or "down" he gets bored and his gaze starts wandering around the room. His face says, "Hey I SHOWED you I know what you mean and I can do it; I'm NOT doing it again!" Huskies can be stubborn like that. He loves other dogs and OUR cats...doesn't much care for cats he sees outdoors; our cats are housecats.

Awww. I can't say I've ever met a lazy one! Lol. I know what you meen though about them getting bored essily though. It's like my friends Bull Terrier, they are usually very friendly and outgoing dogs who need a lot of exercise...hers is scared of the rabbits on the lawn, scared of other dogs, scared of the little todler, scared of the lead, scared of his own farts! He's so funny. Bless

You are so blessed! Should I brush him every day? Yes, yes I should. Do I? Nope, not even close... probably every 3 days. In the spring, though, he will blow his coat and I'll have to brush him every day religiously! He's not deaf...lots of huskies have blue eyes, or one blue/one brown. Cats, from what I have heard, are a different story, but dogs can definitely have blue eyes with no illnesses! One more cuz I'm a showoff like that:

I also liked two brothers, great movie, I can only image how hard it is to make an animal, all the training, but its also worth it.

My favorite animal-related movie is "Best In Show".
The first animal movie I ever saw, that I remember, is "Old Yeller" but I think I was scarred for life after that, lol! And I don't own it, can't watch it again. Ever.

My favorite animal-related movie is "Best In Show". OMG I JUST watched this movie Sunday (in preparation for Westminster on Monday). This is one of my FAVE movies... did you know the brilliant writer/director is also the guy who plays Harlan Pepper (the country guy with the bloodhound)? I've seen the movie a bunch of times, but I didn't realize that until this time around. Eugene Levy is hysTERical...2 left feet -- literally!!!!! It's a brilliant movie cuz it respectfully points out some of the ridiculousness that accompanies the dog show world... it's good for everyone to take a step back and make sure they're not taking themselves TOO seriously, IMO.
