Our Tom had ab injections for 3 days. They were given under the skin just beside his spine, on his ribs. The last one was yesterday and just now we noticed there is a big red spot on his ribcage. And it is huge. I am not to worried, know it will go again, but is this normal?

The next day his whole throat and chest was red. It scared me and I asked the vet. She said that some greys bruise very easily and show redness where an injection has been given. It disappeared after a few days.

I use a dog's temperature (and any changes) as a good indicator. Is his temperature normal?

Thanks both. Otherwise Tom is now, he was fighting a virus and is doing at that part. But injections seem to bother him a lot and he isn't the first greyhound or galgo that I have noticed it with. I would like to know how I can prevent it the next time.
