:-/ I got home from the rescue center yesterday and went into the garden with the dogs to give Harry a game of fetch, it was fairly warm and Len lay down in the sun and watched us for a while. Suddenly he got up and charged around the garden chasing Harry (he does this every day) but then stopped panting heavily (something he never does) then started screaming, really screaming like he was in loads of pain, I ran over to him and hugged him, at the same time feeling his muscles thinking he has pulled something and he just collapsed! Luckily he recovered quickley and seems okay now...but I don't know what to do, do I take it easy for a few day or for the rest of his life? Could he have another soon? My boy used to walk 5-12 miles with me every day and no one would believe me when I said he was 10yrs old. What do I do?

Go to your vet. If he had a heart attack he may need medication. Discuss this with your vet.

Fairly good news from the vet: He says Lenny has recovered well and seems okay now, the only thing I need to do is reduce his exercise slightly, other than that to keep up his quality of life - better to die sooner and happy than later and with no freedom
