I've had Lexi now for several weeks,my problem I'm having with her is that she would rather follow me, watch me and watch me fix my meals and eat. I have to stand over her when she eats if I move she has to follow me. I;ve put peanut butter melted, on her food, yogurt, , she has no interest, before I left to teach this a.m. she would not eat at all, so I put the food bowel in the crate, when I came home the food was eaten. Any sugguestions I don't have this problem with my cat. I worry about this, I don't want her losing any weight, which I don't think she has. This is driving me crazy!

I really don't know what to tell you. Everything that's worked for our Suzy doesn't seem to work for Lexi. You might try a can of dog food. Just add a sthingy full on the kibble.
But don't worry to much. Our vet told us a healthy dog will not starve themselves. She's healthy and she will eat when she's hungry. Although before she gets to that point you might be doing this #hissyfit# I know when she stayed with us, I felt that way some mornings trying to keep 4 other dogs out of her food ???

I agree with Trish. If she is hungry, she will eat. Don't coddle her, go about your normal business. You can also, after a reasonable amount of time, pull up the dish. She will then learn that she needs to eat in that set amount of time or the bowl is gone.

I agree totally, just ignor her compleatly, go about your normal routine, no not add any extras to the food, don't give her tit bits, if she wants to eat...there's the bowl Lenny isn't into food really. Takes him till 11 at night to finish picking at his breakfast, strange considering when he was found he had obviously been seriously starved!
