how do you keep an almost 11 year old boy busy?
Well, you go to a store, buy peanuts (shelled) and birdseeds
and than make fatballs filled with seeds, and garlands with the peanuts.
He loved doing it, and we are looking forward to seeing birds in our backyard.

Even the dogs enjoy searching the kitchen for left over sunflower seeds.

That's an awesome thing to do and fun.

I remember as a youngster (yes, Petra, I was young once) building bird houses and feeders and putting them up in areas where we could see the birds and animals come to them. It was great fun and I learned a lot about wildlife in the process.
