This was in our local news.
First, Fairfax County had the "Cat Lady." Now, it's got the "Dog Lady."
Her name is Bach Ly and when county animal control officers went to her house last evening, they say they found 31 dogs inside. Shih Tzus and Chihuahuas are among the breeds discovered at the home on Pinecrest Road in Herndon. Ly is charged with being an unfit owner.
Police spokeswoman Maryanne Jennings says this is a far cry from last summer, when a county woman was found housing 500 cats in homes in Mount Vernon and Burke. This time, she says the dogs are in good shape.
Two litters of puppies and their moms are going into foster care until the little ones are old enough to be adopted. But starting Tuesday you can come by the Fairfax County Animal Shelter on West Ox Road and give a new home to any of the rest of the dogs.

AAhhh.....I don't understand people like that. I know they think they are trying to help but in most instances it hurts more than helps. I'm glad they are all  and will be adopted out. |

Altough I dont think its ideal, the fact that the dogs where in good condition and not suffering, by what right did the police have for taking theses dogs.
The fact that there where 31 does not to me make a good enough reason.

Maybe you are not allowed to have 31 dogs in your house in that town, or maybe you can but need a breeders' permit. Maybe she has been warned 100 times to cut back or the county will have to "help" her.

FAIRFAX COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT
INCIDENT INFORMATION
Animal control officers took 31 dogs from a house in the Herndon area. On Thursday, December 22 at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded to 12710 Pinecrest Road to check on the welfare of several animals. Officers found Bichon Frise, Chihuahua and Shih Tzu dogs in unhealthy conditions. The Fairfax County Hoarding Task Force combines the resources of county agencies to provide a coordinated response to residential hoarding when it threatens life, safety and property.

But I can see how someone like you (galty) would have a dose of contempt when it comes to animal care laws being enforced. I dont have contempt for anyone or anything To show my goodwill to Tosspots like you this Christmas I have asked to be deleted from this Forum. |

What happened to the no personal flaming rule,Tom????
It seems like one person on this board is allowed to say anything they want to while others are reprimanded. I don't blame galty one bit for leaving. This kind of insult has occured on more than one occasion. I have even been pulled into it. But, I won't give you the satisfaction of being suckered in again by your insults. If you want to debate without personal insults, I will gladly discuss something, but until then, you can have this board!!!!

"Contempt" was a bad choice of words. I wish I could take it back and use a different word or perhaps an entire sentence. I apologize to galty.

I didn't see the personal attack so I can't respond to that. We do have the No personal attack rule on here so we all need to remember that.
I am not delting galty from this board. I want galty to stay. Some topics may bring alot of passion with us as we all want what is best for the greyhounds but with our passion please keep members out of it, stick to the topic. I think that is pretty easy to do.
Thanks for your apology CW now galty needs to do the same if galty comes back.
I am sorry I started this thread if I new if would go this way.
