I just finished reading the sweetest book. the Cat Who Came for Christmas, by, Cleveland Amory, I know its a story about a homeless cat and most of you guys are dog people, but it was excellent. It is a true story, the arthur, a former columnist for Saturday Review and was a critic for the T.V.Guide, Mr. Amory was considered the number one "animal person" in the country. In 1967, he founded The fund for animals, which he severed as an unpaid president and from whose headquarters, at 200West 57th street, New York, he directed farflung anticruelty operations. He was also the president of the 100-year-old New England Anti-Vivisection Society. It isa classic it will touch your heart and your funny bone, all at once. You will smile all year round. He was such a animal lover and defender and how he saved the the baby seals in Canada , from people clubbing them to death. A great man and a great story, so pick it up and enjoy reading it, Oh tha t cat, Polar Bear!

Sounds like an uplifting, sweet story. Sometimes in all the doom and gloom we need stories like this to lift our spirits.
