Every time the phone rings I jump out of my skin thinking that it's the adoption group. I'm being silly because I just sent the application in Monday and they say that it can take up to 2 weeks to get the initial call. They tell you up front that the whole process can take 4-12 weeks, but I'm so ready for my new baby!!

Welcome! I used to live in Illinois, after college in MO, I lived in Arlington Heights, and also Elk Grove Village (Northwest suburbs of Chicago). Couldn't take the winters though, I'm from NC. Have you lived there all your life?

No, originally from IN, have only lived here about 18 months. We are in the southwestern 'burbs. GO SOX! *giggle*
BTW, this winter hasn't been too bad, so far!
