You sure I can't temp you with a wonderfull pair of elderly staffords? Mother and son? They are in the rescue at the moment and it doesn't look good on the rehomeing front. The most lovley natured dogs. Bonnie and Lewis. Both brindle and white. Okay with dogs/cats. Love children...need I go on? Rescues also get alot of Staffie pups in...I wouldn't rule out rescue HEY! We can't foster greys if we adopt a Staffie! LOL stan has a 2-dog-max rule....perhaps we can talk him out of it..... Lol! :o

I voted agree with racing. I live in WV, near Wheeling Downs and we always head there on Friday or Saturday nights. I just love the way they race. It is a great site to see. If you haven't been to see them race, you should.

The center can't formally advertise as they aren't really allowed to rehome outside of Leicestershire, though they do in exceptional circumstances (like these staffies)

i voted agree on racing.... i understand that a lot of people would get the wrong idea of racings, and do hear a lot of the negative stuff which gives them reason to disagree, but i train 2 myself, and believe me the dogs love to race. if they didnt want to race... i know for a fact that they will throw the brakes on.
all race dogs have a chance of being hurt in a race which is the worst part of it. and a few trainers dont care and do a few bad things to them which i wont mention as we are all animals lovers and i dont want the thoughts being re run through peoples minds. but not all of us are bad. and we race them for our passion.. and theirs. one of my dogs only just retired and she is frustrated as she loves to race. in solo trials she bludges but the whole competition side of things gets her worked up and excited. they are bred to run which is why they live to run. if you owned a trained a race dog, then youd really understand. i wasnt the biggest fan but i bought one to own and when you get really involved you learn how much they want to run...
greyhound racing isnt pure huan enjoyment, but ill admit the feeling of your first win is unbelievable... i felt so sorry for my poor girl when she won the first race ever for me as a trainer. she won by 4 and 3/4 lengths and i was screaming cheering her on. and once she past the finish post i was crying. when she was caught and i went to collect her, she was almost squished to death from the hugs she got. its the biggest thrill and excitement..more for the fact knowing my girl did it... so for those who disagree with it.. i really think if you have the money buy a pup. when you get involved, youll know how much fun it is for you and the dog

I wish there were an "unsure" option. That's how I would vote.
