I don't like any of them. I would rather watch a good Alfred Hitchock movie.

The scariest movie I have EVER seen is :-/ The Ring. The new Amityville movie was freaky, but the actor who plays the main character in that (Ryan Reynolds) and I are "involved" #11_1_123# so I didn't find it too scary.
I loooovvvee scary movies...also pretty freaky was The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
For older scary movies: the Exorcist and the Shining....and ANYTHING with zombies in it! Like those old Night of the Living Dead-style movies. I am mortally terrified of zombies for some reason! :-/ :-/
Stuff with creepy little kids scares me: Children of the Corn, Poltergeist, etc.

Oh, I loved the Amityville movie, my parents lived just a few miles from the house during that time. My mom remembers reading about the different events happening at that in the local papers, but , she was busy raising two babies at the time and taking care of their collie, Mark Anthony, no relations to J.Lo's husband!! I wasn't even a thought at that time. Ryan Reynolds, wow, what a great actor, lucky you!! And he is so cute. I also liked the movie Saw, my best friend saw Saw II, and said it was great, another Saw III, on the way. I need to see the new Saw movie. If I'm not making much sense, I'm holding a 18 pound cat on my lap who is purring his heart out. I'm listening to my Usher c.d., Confessions, and he just loves music esp. Usher, and who wouldn't, soooo fine, what a guy, what a body oh, baby!!! My kind of man!!!

I'm a huge Hitch fan. "Psycho" is my favorite horror movie. Also love "The Birds", "Vertigo", ""Rear Window"...etc etc...
::)
But the 1963, original version of "The Haunting" is my favorite ghost film.
Also love "Jaws", and the first "Halloween".

My DH and I LOVE horror and scary movies, that's at least half of our collection.
I made a list of all the movies we have, about a year ago, but I haven't updated it in awhile. Here's what the horror/thriller/scary Sci-Fi ones we had at that time, we since have more, such as "Sin City" (GREAT flick, BTW!). We especially love the campy 1950's B-flicks though, by William Castle, and also anything by George Romero, Sam Raimi.
