The adoption group FINALLY called last night and they like us, they really, really like us! ;D
The word on the street is that they have one cat friendly Grey in a foster home, but they aren't sure how much he/she like kiddos. They are going to talk to the foster family and get their take on it. If he/she isn't a good match then they will keep looking. They said they are getting some more dogs next week, so who knows how much longer, but at least they didn't tell us "NO STINKING WAY ARE WE LETTING YOU PEOPLE ADOPT!"

Well done on your good news. Please remember not to just go for the first dog that they think suitable...make sure you really get to know the dog...even if it meens waiting

Does that mean I shouldn't burst into tears of joy when they bring the hound over?? LOL. I agree with you 100%. I've had to give up a dog that wasn't a good fit with our family, I'm not about to put myself or the kids through that again. This group chooses your hound for you, and they have a great track record and refuse to rush things, so I'm feeling pretty confident! Thanks!

I think it works much better when groups choose the dog for the family
